Zaandam, the Netherlands, April 21, 2026  – Ahold Delhaize announces today that Wouter Poort, currently Unit Manager Non-Perishables & Beverages at Albert Heijn, will be appointed Brand President of Dutch liquor store brand Gall & Gall. This follows on the news that Nienke van de Streek, who has served as Brand President of Gall & Gall for the past three years, has decided to leave the company. Wouter will start on June 1, 2026.

Wouter joined Ahold Delhaize in 2008 as a trainee at Albert Heijn, and has held various sourcing, innovation and merchandising roles since then. Between 2019 and 2023 he was COO at Indonesian Brand Super Indo, before returning to Albert Heijn in his current role as Unit Manager Non-Perishables & Beverages.

Claude Sarrailh, CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia commented:  "I am pleased to welcome Wouter as Brand President of Gall & Gall. He brings a broad background of expertise, developed through his various commercial roles within the organization, complemented by international operational experience as COO of Super Indo in Indonesia. He has deep expertise in large, fast-moving categories and is recognized as an entrepreneurial leader who challenges teams to raise the bar. Wouter combines this strong commercial instinct with the ability to translate strategy into concrete choices and results. I would also like to thank Nienke for the strong repositioning of the brand over the past years. Together with the team, Wouter will build on this basis for further growth.”

At the announcement, Wouter said: “I am honored to be appointed Brand President of Gall & Gall. Over the past 18 years, I have had the opportunity to work within Ahold Delhaize in various roles for different brands. Gall & Gall is a strong brand with a rich history, operating in a market that is constantly evolving. This dynamic time brings new challenges and opportunities, and therefore calls for innovation. Driven by my passion for retail, I look forward to adding a new chapter to the story of Gall & Gall together with more than 1,700 colleagues.”
