Ahold Delhaize receives 2026 Leading Employer award

February 5, 2026 - Ahold Delhaize has been once again named as a Leading Employer for 2026, placing the company among the top 1% of employers worldwide. The recognition was announced during the Leading Employers award ceremony held last week in Frankfurt. 

The award was accepted on behalf of Ahold Delhaize by Bjorn Luijters, Manager Total Talent Acquisition at Ahold Delhaize Group HR, and Nevena Đaković, Manager Organizational Development and DE&I for Europe and Indonesia. 

Leading Employers is an independent institute that evaluates organizations through an extensive meta-study of employer practices. Its assessment is based on a wide range of sources, including employee feedback, audits, jury-based awards, and professional memberships. These inputs are systematically assessed using a weighted evaluation matrix. 

Receiving the Leading Employers certification reflects Ahold Delhaize’s ongoing commitment to its Thriving People strategic priority, which is embedded in the company’s Growing Together strategy. This priority supports Ahold Delhaize’s ambition to be the leading (#1 or #2) employer of choice in each market.
