Stop & Shop strengthens affordability by lowering everyday prices on thousands of items across New York and New Jersey
May 20, 2026 – This week, Ahold Delhaize’s local U.S. brand Stop & Shop announced it has lowered everyday prices on thousands of items across all 137 of its stores in New York and New Jersey, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve affordability for customers.
The expanded price initiative is part of Stop & Shop’s broader multi-year transformation strategy. Providing healthy, fresh and affordable products that are accessible to customers is a key priority within Ahold Delhaize’s Growing Together strategy, and initiatives like this are a clear example of that.
Yellow tags
The new price reductions apply across nearly all departments and include both national brands and Stop & Shop private label products. The focus is on frequently purchased products, including everyday favorites such as pick-your-own bagels from the Stop & Shop Bakery. Customers can easily spot the lower-priced items in store with yellow tags highlighting the new everyday price compared to the previous price.
More than 350 stores
With this latest investment, Stop & Shop has now implemented lower everyday prices in more than 350 stores across the Northeast, reinforcing its commitment to delivering value for customers in a challenging economic environment.
Supporting customer choice by providing easy access to affordable and healthy food options is central to the customer value proposition across Ahold Delhaize’s local brands.
